Design a predictive PID controller with infinite horizon for adaptive control of gearing systems
DOI: 10.15625/vap.2015.0011
Abstract
The paper proposes an approach to design a PID controller for tracking control gearing transmission systems. Unlike all previously presented predictive PIDs with finite horizon, the here proposed predictive PID controller uses an infinite horizon. That helps this PID controller still ensuring the stability of closed systems without using an additional penalty function in the objective function as usual. Moreover, with the infinite horizon and by applying to control gearing systems, the number of calculating operations is reduced, which indirectly increases the processing speed of adaptive PID controller.
